MotoAmerica Road Racing Championship
MotoAmerica, officially the MotoAmerica Road Racing Championship, is the premier motorcycle road racing series in the United States. It began in 2015 as the successor to the AMA Pro Road Racing series.
History
MotoAmerica was established when the Roadracing World Action Fund (D活的) acquired the rights to AMA professional road racing from the Motorcyclist Association (MMA). The first season kicked off in 2015 at Circuit of the Americas (COTA).
The series traces its heritage back to AMA Formula 1 (1976-1992), then World Superbike USA round events, and AMA Pro Road Racing which ran from 1992 to 2014.

Relationship to World Championship
MotoAmerica serves as a primary feeder series for the FIM World Endurance Championship and occasionally produces riders who advance to MotoGP, such as American Nicky Hayden who raced in MotoGP before returning to MotoAmerica.
Significance in American Racing
MotoAmerica fills the void left by AMA's declining support for professional road racing in the 2000s. The series has revitalized American road racing with professional promotion, improved rider safety standards, and competitive grids featuring both American and international riders.
